About the Book
Every year in May, the flowers start to bloom and I cannot help myself but to photograph them. In 2014, I started the Mayflower series because I was tired of constantly working to find a concept for school assignments and wanted to take photographs of something beautiful, just because it was beautiful. Mayflowers has grown meaning over the years and is one of my favorite series to work on. It represents fleeting beauty, one that comes and goes so quickly but is cherished while it lasts. With the help of volunteers instead of models each year, women of all backgrounds, sizes and colors come together in the flowers to bloom.
