About the Book
Over forty years ago, Painter Miguel Condé and his wife Carola planted their roots in Sitges, a perfect gem of a town on the edge of the Mediterranean about thirty-five minutes south of Barcelona. Today their home is filled with Miguel’s dramatic and colorful art. While I was visiting several years ago, I noticed, in a quiet corner, a drawing room where fragments of Miguel’s imagination live and play. The room seemed to call out to be photographed so I responded with camera in hand. Within these pages, you will see the drawing room, famed Sitges seaside as well as the home and work of Miguel Condé.

From the mid-seventies until now photography has been my guiding light. From film to Polaroid manipulations, from the darkroom to Lightroom, and from multimedia to mobile photography; it is a passion that never ends. Along the way my photographs have been honored with a Maryland Arts Council Award and a CityArts Grant from the City of Baltimore, my hometown, and selected for the permanent collection of the State Fine Arts Museum of Alma-Ata, Kazakhstan.
