Manfred J. von Vulte was born in Pointe Claire, Quebec, but grew up in Winnipeg and Scarborough. He is a graduate of Francis Libermann Catholic High School and York University where he completed his Honours B.A. and M.A. in History, and his B.Ed. He is a member of the Ontario College of Teachers and the Director of the Canadian Comic Book Project.
