About the Book
It has been 10 years since Mariana and her family were all together in their country of Moldova. After leaving for a better quality of life, the need to return to the family home and rebuild is strong. However, it is a romantic dream believing that Moldova will one day develop significantly to stop the continuing exit of those looking for work and opportunities.
Mariana's parents, Gheorghe and Valentina arrived a few days before Mariana, and her sister Elena, to clean the house and prepare the rooms. Gheorghe planned to build an extension on his already 20 year old house and his savings from the past year would be dedicated to the construction. However, it soon became apparent how much work needed to be done and how much money needed to be spent.
