About the Book
The photographs in this campaign book are theatrical visualisations of a flooded Britain, intended to encourage viewers to imagine what could happen to low-lying towns and cities in the event of a 4°c rise in average temperatures. Millions of people currently live on land at risk from coastal flooding, and it will be impossible to build sufficient sea defences to protect every community. As polar ice caps continue to melt, coastlines will be submerged on every continent and it will be necessary to redraw our maps of the world. Humans are now the dominant cause of sea level rise, and it is more important than ever that each and every individual takes responsibility for anthropogenic climate change by adopting sustainable and low impact lifestyles.
