About the Book
When Billy and Katie meet for the very first time, they find that they have more in common than just attending the same new elementary school. While admiring Everett, the piano in the music room, they discover that Everett translates his words into music for them. Just when Billy and Katie become inseparable, they learn from Everett that the assistant principal has plans for the old piano. It looks as though Everett will soon be traded in for a new piano, and it’s up to Billy and Katie to try to stop the unfortunate fate that awaits their new friend. In the end, there is an unexpected turn of events which cause yet another twist of fate and happiness to prevail.
