Poet and educator, Carol Conyers, learned the importance of writing poetry as an outlet while growing up in North Carolina. Her creative style and her relationship with God serve as her inspiration to write. It was through a school writing course that she wrote her first "real" poem at 12 years old. Having lived and traveled internationally, she uses poetry to candidly express her global perspectives on life, relationships, race, and other social issues.
