Life Around Victoria's Lime Bay uses poetry and photography to provide readers with a glimpse into the history of the area and the lives of the people and wildlife that call Lime Bay and the surrounding area home. Lime Bay is located on the northwest side of the Victoria's harbour in beautiful British Columbia, Canada. Victoria is situated at the southern tip of Vancouver Island overlooking Juan de Fuca Straight and the majestic Olympic Mountains on the Pacific Coast. Victoria is the largest city on Vancouver Island and it has been the capital city of BC since 1868.
Victoria is a prime tourist destination known for is beautiful scenery, its picturesque 19th century buildings, and its mild climate with an average of 308 sunny days each year. Landmarks include the Legislative Building, the Royal BC Museum, the Empress Hotel, Beacon Hill Park, Thunderbird Park, Craigdarroch Castle, the oldest Chinatown in Canada, and Butchart Gardens.
