About the Book
Magnificently captured by Travis Easton over the course of many years, Scenic Melbourne photographs the popular spots all those familiar with this area know and love, but also explores many of the hidden gems that only locals know about.
This book also available in blurb's 8"x10" soft cover version (open up the other 'Scenic Melbourne' book in the bookstore).
"After wandering through the delicious wonder of Travis Easton's "Scenic Melbourne", I'm not sure any other photographer could exceed the brilliance of his portfolio.
Travis has a keen understanding of "blue hour" photography (making pictures after sunset, but before total darkness) and his love for architectural photography shines through almost every page.
If you're an ex-pat Aussie or simply appreciate the work of a seriously fine photographer, this is the book to get."
Australia’s rugged landscape is an important part of my life and over many years I have developed the necessary skills and stamina to explore some of the more remote parts of it on foot, ski, kayak and rope. I usually travel alone so I can take my time capturing the essence of these places without distraction. Life slows down and after a while I feel like I begin to merge with the land, nature takes me into her confidence and changes me. Preserving these areas is very close to my heart and if my pictures can instil an appreciation for these environments and their intrinsic worth then all the better.
