About the Book
I wasn't born here, but I call Los Angeles and the valleys surrounding the city home. I emigrated to the area during the summer after high school in 1985, escaping the familiarity of the prairies of south-eastern Colorado. I settled in and never went back.
I've recently rekindled my love of taking photos, and with it, a new respect for the black and white medium. The images in this book (with one digital exception) were captured on black-and-white negative film with a Canon AE-1 or blackbird, fly camera and self-developed.
This book is a sampling of the fusion of two of my loves - the City of Los Angeles and the power of black-and-white imagery. I hope you enjoy it.

About the Creator
Gary Zorko
Southern California, USA
Gary takes pictures sometimes. Well, he takes a lot of pictures. He uses digital cameras (except when he uses a film camera instead, which seems to be happening more often now that he's developed a nasty addiction to film and film developing). He’s still pretty new at it, but he enjoys the experience and can see incremental improvement in his technique. Perhaps you can too, if you squint a little. He blogs at www.zombieprocess.net.
