About the Book
Olebella is a true story inspired by the international adoption of my two daughters. It is about diversity and is told from Olivia’s point of view of her adoption from Guatemala.
The adoption agency used to adopt my youngest daughter from Ethiopia, provided video’s, books and pictures of her Ethiopian family, birth place, and her time in the orphanage. Guatemala, had very little information to provide about Olivia’s beginning. Every time we watch the video’s from Ethiopia, Olivia asks….”where’s my story?” So this is her story…
I adopted as a single Mommy and wrote this book as Olivia’s legacy…and in hopes that it may inspire other families to consider international adoptions and to educate children about accepting diversity.
